Our Quarries

Located in the Kaklık area of Denizli, our White Travertine Quarry is one of our important natural stone sources producing travertine selections in light and warm tones. The Denizli region is one of Turkey’s well-known natural stone production centers, particularly for its travertine formations. The travertines extracted from our quarry are characterized by their light cream, white, and soft beige tones, natural porous structure, and distinctive layering, offering a wide range of possibilities for both interior and exterior architectural applications. Our quarry produces White Travertine Vein Cut, White Travertine Cross Cut, Light Travertine Vein Cut, and Light Travertine Cross Cut. With vein cut, the natural layers of the stone become more visible along the cutting direction, creating a more linear and continuous vein appearance. With cross cut, the layers are cut across, revealing a softer, clouded, and more varied surface character. These two cutting methods allow the same travertine to achieve different visual effects depending on the architectural and decorative concept of the project. Travertine is a natural carbonate stone composed primarily of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). It forms over time through the precipitation of calcium carbonate carried by mineral-rich waters. Its naturally porous structure is one of the defining characteristics of the material. The light colors, natural layer transitions, and varying pore structures of our White and Light Travertine selections give each block and slab a unique appearance. Depending on project requirements, the travertines can be supplied either filled or unfilled. Travertine blocks selected from the quarry can be processed in our production facilities according to project requirements. In addition to block and slab production, we provide precision cutting, CNC processing, waterjet cutting, surface finishing, and custom cut-to-size manufacturing. White Travertine and Light Travertine can be prepared with honed, filled, brushed, sandblasted, tumbled, and other project-specific surface finishes. Depending on the desired visual effect, both vein cut and cross cut options can be applied. White and Light Travertines extracted from our Denizli quarry can be used for floor and wall cladding, façade applications, staircases and steps, bathrooms, sinks, pool surrounds, terraces, garden and landscaping applications, fireplaces, mosaics, tables and coffee tables, decorative products, and custom-made natural stone furniture. Thanks to their light and natural color tones, they can be combined easily with other natural stones, wood, and various architectural materials, making them suitable for both classical and contemporary projects. At Efesus Stone, we manage the entire process from block selection at our White Travertine Quarry to slab production, cut-to-size manufacturing, and custom project fabrication within our own production infrastructure. Based on the technical and visual requirements of each project, we determine the most suitable block, selection, cutting direction, and surface finish for both domestic and international projects.
